What an appropriate time to read a book about women's suppression, abuse and torment by men. This book just added fuel to my female rage, in a good way. And inspired me to not yield. Loved it.

The audiobook is brilliantly narrated by three different actors. This book is heartwrenching at times, but at the same time inspiring. The three main characters are fully formed and the pace is not fast, but fast enough to keep you going. Worth to take a look at the trigger warnings, but great read.

Story was quite difficult to follow. Started to really understand the plot in the middle of the book. Overall there was a lot of description and not enough real telling of the story. The parts about about women's healthcare and female power were interesting to read though.

I loved the writing and was immediately and easily rooting for each main character. I thought the changing POVs was used well, but I felt that the book had a bit too much telling and not enough showing. Hart clearly has talent and I appreciated that she didn't paint every male character the same (although nearly all were scum). The ending felt a bit rushed together and I wish there was bit more mystery. While I really enjoyed this and devoured it in a couple of days, I would never recommend this without strongly suggesting taking a look at the content warnings. Some of this book was difficult to read and I'm grateful that I didn't go into this book blindly.
