Though the premise was cool it felt very disconnected from the first book and I could feel myself getting annoyed because things seemed to be getting set up for a miscommunication plot line/people just not talking to each other. So I dnfed because I don’t have patience for that.

i wanted to enjoy this book but i found it to be very unloveable. i didn’t like the story or characters- which is surprising because i love fantasy. to say the least, it was underwhelming.

This was a good conclusion for Rue's story. I like the adventure aspect and the magic in this story. I think I like the first story more than this one but it is a good sequel and conclusion to the first one.
