We are introduced to Jake and Nick's story in the fourth installment of the Trident Security Series. Believable characters and descriptive scenes with plenty of action in and out of the bedroom, this story had all the great factors that I have come to expect when reading Samantha Cole's books.

This is my first m/m read and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. Jake realises that his feelings for Nick run deeper than he first realises and having never been in a committed relationship before due to past demons, he internally struggles with his feelings and doubts.

Nick who is the younger brother of Devon and Ian who own Trident Security, has never revealed his sexuality to his family and close friends. He surprises himself that unlike previous relationships he is willing to submit to Jake.

The pair have several hurdles to overcome to move their relationship forward and this together with the thrilling and dangerous work that the Trident Team face in this story, make this book a brilliant and exciting read.

This is a M/M BDSM book and is a part of the Trident Security Series. We get to know Jake Donovan more indepth and learn how he became the man he is today and what ghosts he has to lay to rest to allow himself to have a future with Nick.

In this story Nick Sawyer is coming to terms on who he is, what he wants to be and who he wants to be with. His struggle is so realistic in today's world.

It's way too easy to give spoilers on this one. I just love the way Samantha Cole writes. I felt pulled into the book from the beginning. I love revisiting with the characters from the previous books. I also like the indepth look we get into the BDSM life.

I love that there is story within a story. Not only is it a story about Nick and Jake it also is story about Trident Security Team as they are on an operative. The twist of intrigue, some humor and the sex makes this a very good book.

*I received an ARC for an honest review*

This story is M/M which was a departure for me. Nothing against them they just don't normally float my boat. But this is an awesome series and there is no way I was missing this one!

Nick may be the baby of the Sawyer brothers but he is a badass SEAL! He is always the dominant person in everything he does. So why oh why when it comes to a certain hard-bodied male is he ready to submit???? He is also hiding his homosexuality from his family. He doesn't understand why because he knows they would love him no matter what his sexuality is but he is tied up in knots mentally and emotionally over it.

Jake came out of the closet when he was a teenager. He suffered at the hands of his father for it and he made a vow to himself that he'd never hide who he loved. Nick is his friends younger brother but after a hot-as-heck night together he's not sure where they can go.

Add in an abused teenager on the run after her mother was murdered and memories from Jake's past and this was an emotionally charged story. This has all the feels!

Nick’s introduction to BDSM was handled very well and his status in the club was handled well due to his contradictory states between his private life and professional life.

Fab read!

There's always something a bit primale about MM romance, that edge of "violence" and roughness that is often missing in a MF story. Jake and Nick were no exception.
I loved the way they worked through their differences, I loved how Jake finally let go of his past trauma. They were sweet together!

M/M is not what I normally go for, but if it's in the middle of a series by an author I like, I'll read it. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this book. In the past m/m books I've read, there's been tons of sex, kind of overdoing it. There was a perfect balance in this book. Although the beginning of the relationship seemed a little rushed, it evened out and did not distract.
I enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
