Dolly, I love ya, but this is shocking. đ No depth, super predictable, unlikeable characters.... Not much positive to say tbh!
It's Dolly Parton, I had to read it! Just imagine what a thriller book by Dolly would look like, and you'll probably guess the general idea of this book, but that's why we love her so much. I was very engaged in the story and interested to see where it would go, and I will say I didn't find the book to be much of a thriller! Overall, I would suggest that anyone who is interested in this book listens to the audiobook, the narrators are truly committed to the story, Dolly Parton herself included!
I thoroughly enjoyed the multitude of voices that narrated this audiobook, they truly made it, brought it to life, and who doesn't love Dolly!

Absolutely riveting story from James Patterson and Dolly Parton. I wasnât expecting this story at all, and absolutely LOVED the full cast narration.
2.5 stars. I wanted to love this book because I love mysteries and thriller, and Dolly Parton. However, not even Dolly could save this book.

Her life before the fame though is a tragic tale the culminates at the end of the book when you fully understand her story. This book presents love, hurt, pain, sorrow, tragedy and the strength of a âFirecrackerâ Many of times I caught myself laughing at the wit of Miss Ruthanna who takes on AnnieLee as one of her own. Ruthanna is definitely Miss Dolly Parton herself as a character. This is sure to be a blockbuster movie and I can say with 100 percent certainty I will be reading this book again! This is a MUST read!
