I don't know how to feel about this. I wanted to like it. Ok if you were hiding from someone that hunting you down and physically harming you, would you then make a solid effort to be come a famous country singer? Does not make sense therefore it lost me really quick. Her mentor was very dolly coded but also reminded me of dolly in steel magnolias. Will most likely never read another James Patterson.

Absolutely loved this book! I’ve always been a big Dolly fan, and I’ve read a couple James Patterson books that I really enjoyed so I was super excited to read this book. It started off kinda cheesy, girl going to Nashville to try and make it big, but I knew that with James Patterson as the co-author, something intense was definitely going to happen. And it did! It was so good and I read most of the book in one setting. Would definitely recommend this book. It was super cool that Dolly wrote an album to go with it too! Cute and super catchy songs
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Dolly Parton is my current obsession, so we all know this was the natural next step to take - listen to her book!
The audiobook was enjoyable. I just wish the music dolly had written for this book was incorporated. I think that would have pushed me to give a 5 star.
