Easy read but took me a while because it was quite repetitive. I wasn't sure what the point of the prologue was.
Who else thought that Ruthanna would have made a more interesting main character?

I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I feel like it kept trying to code switch between a happily ever after romcom and a thriller. I guess that’s what you get when it’s Dolly Parton and James Patterson?

Still, it was a cute read. Super readable, I inhaled it! Didn’t love the darker, more grim side. It seemed like every main character had a secret sob story, apart from the villains who were just two dimensional bad.

Overall, I did enjoy this story but was hoping for more of the mystery/thriller aspect. They tease it throughout the story and it had so much promise, but fell flat in my opinion.
