Went in under the impression it reads like a lifetime movie and was not disappointed. Corny and cheesy in a good way. Love everything about Dolly, this was a must read and don’t take too seriously for me

This was entertaining from page one. It read very much like a perfect mixture of Patterson and Parton. Exactly what I was hoping for. I feel like Dolly wrote Ruthanna as herself, and I was happy to see it. Glitzy gal with all the talent in the world and a heart of gold.

The ending did feel a bit rushed. We were slowly led there for hundreds of pages then get the climax in just a couple, but that too was like classic Patterson. Rose's past was darker than I was expecting, but it wasn't drawn in detail, just brush strokes, so even that was all right.

My rating - Three Stars.
This book was okay read but I found is book to be bit boring and I found the book to be bland. I think people who like the last verse by Caroline Frost or the farewell tour by Stephanie Clifford may like is book. The cover of book was fine and the writing was okay also easy follow also the ending was okay. the mystery and the atmosphere was fine but it bit bland also the romance was okay but bit dull. The paced of plot was well structured and steady paced. The characters was okay and they needed most them well flash out

I tried 4 times to read this book but I just couldn’t finish it. I wanted to love it since I enjoy James Patterson and dolly was my favourite growing up but it’s far too slow for my liking. It started out good and had my interested but it slowly faded. DNF at about 50%

Listen to the audio I only listened to a sample cause I can’t see my self listening to something for 10 hours that takes me four to read but it was far more interesting then this book was

didn't love the story but glad to read a book recommended to me by my grandma

I ended up abandoning it. Not enough mystery or thriller aspects.

I liked this book more than I thought I would and I highly recommend listening to it since Dolly reads for a character! I liked the friendships formed along the way and Annie Lee’s strong sense of character and self respect. Ethan and Ruth Ann were great too! I did feel like it was a little silly the further the story went as AL is reluctant to tell about her true past. Did she think becoming famous would give her cover? Obviously it makes her more exposed to problems from the past! But I did like the ending and overall thought it was a sweet story.
