A typical James Patterson book. Quick read.

Read for Dolly and stayed for Dolly, but otherwise the story was just okay. None of the characters were very memorable for me, but the audiobook was good!

Overall 2.0 stars, audiobook bumps it to 2.5-3.0 stars.

The book was enjoyable overall but a super let down by not being real suspenseful as it was leading on and kinda made it so simple and fast for the ending. The suspense parts were not very detailed and rushed through and made it like it was so easy to get to one part of the story to the other. Lot of loss ends like why was the men really trying to follow her in a whole another state and not just take her with them or kill her. Then they are conveniently at the place they live while they were just in another state with her?! I liked the characters and the dialogue. The beginning of the story I think made this book be 4⭐️because the 2nd half and ending is definitely is to 2-3⭐️ so I will

Don’t waste your time. I wish I hadn’t.

I love love love Dolly Parton but this book was terribly written and totally unbelievable. A girl comes to Nashville with nothing and magically hits a massive break 3 days in

The book was okay. I felt like it was written specifically for the purpose of turning it into a movie, and trying to capitalize on the success of A Star Is Born. Entertaining but not groundbreaking.

5★ JUST GIVE DOLLY ALL THE STARS!!! ★★★★★ I know she co-wrote it with James Patterson, but when you listen to the audio version (which Dolly helped narrate), you just KNOW that she truly put herself in it. I didn’t know where the story was going, and I loved Dolly’s character. I just love Dolly, period. This is a highly biased review. If you love Dolly Parton, it’s highly likely you will like this book. I mean, is there anything she can’t do⁉ No. No there isn’t.
