Listening to this as an audio book really added to the experience, especially with Dolly voicing one of the main characters. As for the book itself, it's alright, but nothing spectacular.

This was such a fun audiobook. I loved hearing Dolly and the whole thing was just fun all around.

Everything you'd expect from a book written by these two authors. And for that, I'd give it a five out of five. I couldn't give Dolly anything less.

This felt like a very VERY predictable read and I was a little weirded out by the random storylines that were added but then never mentioned again. I love Dolly but don’t think this was a good representation of her talent. Probably won’t listen to the album either.

Thank you to the author, publisher and @NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Love Dolly.
Love Country Music.
Love a thriller.
Did NOT love this.

Sort of reminds me of Daisy Jones but with better action. But the action didn’t happen until like the last 20 pages… I did enjoy the story though. But it wasn’t really a ‘mystery’ and it ended so quickly and not very neatly.

Not what I would consider a mystery or thriller. More like a country romance with a mysterious twist. Probably my least favorite James Patterson so thus far. Only rated 2 star because Kelsey Ballerini was in the audio book.
