This book was a pleasant surprise! A little bit thriller and a little bit dream chasing with a splash of romance and found family. Dolly Parton was very visible in the character Ruthanna Ryder and it was interesting to see a different side of the country music industry.

I did love the story of this book as I do love country music. There was defiantly some intrigue. Although, I feel that the story had too much padding to it, I almost forgot about the intriguing parts. The ending was lovely but it just didn't really give me enough for this to be considered a thriller at all.

This review is solely for the audiobook, which is narrated in part by our Lord and Savior Dolly Parton (and also the adorable Kelsey Ballerini).

This is a fun story, an uplifting experience, albeit nothing earth shattering. The audiobook is delightful though, with high production value. Dolly’s voice is wonderful, and you can almost see her acting out the entire thing. Loved this for my car/ cleaning/ doing dishes/ going on walks. I don’t know if I would have gotten through reading the actual novel, but I really looked forward to listening to the audiobook every day!
