Surprisingly delighted by Turbulence. I saved it for a plane ride, and was relieved that there was no actual plane drama, rather some gorgeous vignettes connecting humans all across the world in small ways.
I didn’t realize going into it that it’d be small connecting moments in the human condition, but it was a quick, engaging treat. Definitely would recommend to anyone who enjoys stories that are more like snapshots- quick, frozen in a scene, and unflinching.

This was a really cool premise for a series of short stories. Each story is titled by the airport codes of the main person traveling to (example, GRU to YYZ) which was really cool. (Also made me brush up on my geography!)
Each story is basically a snapshot of what is happening immediately in that persons life atm. The next story is always someone who was in the previous story, not always someone in the forefront, so it was kind of cool that we managed to go around the world and all these people were connected some how.
Each story was no more than a couple of pages long, it made for an easy read, and it flowed really well.

A beautiful book! I was not expecting for all 12 stories to be so cyclically connected. Some of them I didn’t really care about but some really got to me. If I wanted to learn something from this book, it would be to never judge anyone because humanity is neither good nor bad and everyone is leading multiple lives blah blah blah but I don’t really want to learn anything from it so never mind. I liked it though

3.5, this was an interesting read! I loved the writing style: like those movies that follow 12 different mini-storylines that very loosely tie together. I loved the different perspectives of each character.
