Quick read, not bad, not great. I did find myself wanting to go on to each chapter to find out what happens next, so that’s good!

A very short, quick little read. Nicely transporting (pun intended) for consumption in quarantine, but not very substantive or creatively crafted, and ties up a little too neatly for my taste. Not offensive, just not much there.

Interwoven stories that connect characters around the world. Extreme vulnerability. It will make you stop and wonder where a stranger is going and what they’re dealing with in the privacy of their own lives.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This was a lovely (but very short) sequence of stories of those interconnected by travel around the world. The author is quite a skilled writer as evidenced by his previous work. I loved tracing how each of the characters were connected, and exploring how the theme of “turbulence” affected each of their lives.

I love a book that is shorter than expected. I also love a book that allows you to decide what you make of it...it doesn't direct or instruct you. I read this in one day, and thoroughly enjoyed the vignettes, some more than others. I may read it again one day, but it was a really refreshing change from some of my other current reads- biographies, nonfiction on law/politics, murder mysteries. Recommend!

What a lovely, unique short novel. It follows one person after another as each flies somewhere else in the world. It’s sort of like the film Slacker in that format, which I found enjoyable. The book itself is short and the sections especially so. So what this is is actually just snippets in time in various people, many who are only tenuously connected. Somehow it feels warm and touching and I really, really liked it.

I’m not a big fan of short stories, but I enjoyed these interconnected short stories related to travel.
