Genial.

my girl virginia did nothing wrong

I loved what Tom King was able to accomplish in this story. He takes a seemingly uninteresting character and puts him in a unique situation. There were times in the series where I heavily sympathized with Vision and his search for a family. After all, isn't that we often fail to understand? We strive to have perfect families in an imperfect world.

Didn't think I was going to be in to the ultra-deep-cut 500pp version of this comic (most of it is bonus footage/behind the scenes things) but I was very pleasantly surprsied. The story itself was probably a solid 4 stars from me, but this is the rare instance where cranking up the page count on a graphic novel did in fact enhance the reading experience.

All I can say is... wow. Just. Wow.

holy shit

Gets a little too large scale superhero by the end, but this is truly a fantastic take on this character.

I have read several Marvel comics, and I usually like them just fine, but I have never finished one before and believed I had read anything resembling great literature. This book is great literature. It helps that it follows no real formula for what a superhero comic typical is, and it also helps that even though Vision is ostensibly a superhero, this story is not at all about that occupation. This is a story about our attempts to be happy, and how those attempts often misguide us down paths we never intended to take. I loved this book. It is often surprising, frequently funny, and ultimately a huge bummer.
