Excellent. Tom King is undoubtedly the best writer in comics today.

The fuck did I just read?
If you liked WandaVision you'd probably like The Vision for a lot of the same reasons. It's similar in that it is about superheroes trying to live a normal suburban life and weird creepy shit follows. This isn't an action story, but more so a mystery/horror/drama type thing. It also develops Vision's character really well, adding a lot of moral grayness to him. I also really loved the art style, it was at times beautiful and other times disturbing.
TWs: deaths of animals, family, teenagers, and via gun violence and suicide; gore; generally creepy imagery.

Bu kitaba bir Marvel çizgi romanı veya süper kahraman hikâyesi olarak değil, bir bilim kurgu grafik romanı olarak bakmak lazım. Philip K. Dick'e saygı duruşu gibi.
Çok beğendim.

If you haven't read this, stop what you're doing and go get it. Right now. Easily now in my top 5 fave graphic novels of all time.
I did not expect to read this cover-to-cover, crying about it in my kitchen as I waited for a clogged sink to drain. But life is rarely what we expect, is it, fellow readers?

there was a moment reading this where i was like ‘ok myabe comics just aren’t my medium’. but they are. i can read and enjoy comics. i love peanuts and calvin and hobbes, and certain vast epics w volume numbers in the many tens (manga series for teenagers). but something about standalone comics just feels flat, there’s something less developed than i want there to be. i suppose in part i felt that with the vision because it is, in fact, part of the vast epic which is marvel comics, and so reading with context would probably have helped fill out the characters more. having said that i feel like i had the same issue w.. i wanna say v for vendetta? certainly it was a familiar feeling. seems like i need either brevity or space to stretch in graphic novels etc; but i look forward to being proven wrong one day
This book was actually pretty special. It had a lot to say about life, justice, love, and family. I didnt know much about the Vision, and I think it would have helped to clear up some of the finer details in the story. However, I didnt need those details to really feel the story on a deeper level. It was odd, uncomfortable, chilling and very sad. Its definitely a graphic novel to read if you want to get way deeper than "Bang! Pow!"
I re-read this novel for my Creative Writing module because I thought it was an interesting dip into what makes us human, what makes family tick, how secrets can ruin lives. It didn't disappoint.
