Not the worst book I’ve read but I wanted to DNF this so many times. But I thought it would get better it didn’t. It was boring. And annoying. Nicole was just a selfish brat the entire story. I don’t know if you were supposed to feel sorry for her. But Kate’s doomed. Nicole thinks everything should go her way. And it does. She cheats on her husband. Keeps the kids and house and gets the girl she screwed over in college. Gave and Ethan were more tolerable. But I didn’t really now I was getting into a political story. But at least they were likable.

This book is unlike anything I’ve ever read. It took me a couple days to truly get into it but once I did I couldn’t put it down because there was so much “drama” that I was hooked. I think that this book is a very unique form of political commentary while at the same time exploring romantic relationships and the things that can drive a couple apart. It was super interesting to see Gabe navigate life within his new reality. Nicole was an extremely frustrating character but I think that the way her storyline played out felt right. Overall I would definitely recommend!

So, so good!! This book was witty, charming, timely, and super aggravating. I loved it. I just couldn’t put it down.
