It’s so cool to read up on our own Filipino superstitions turned into a comic book. I really enjoyed each story but my Favorite one has to be Case 4 for sure.

I've been looking for a copy of this for a while, and I'm glad that it was picked up by a publisher. Especially considering when and how it was published, this is a satisfying episodic urban fantasy procedural. The art is outstanding, considering that the illustrator worked on a lot of it during his lunch breaks at his day job. The series features Filipino folklore, takes place in the Philippines, and (gasp!) is actually created by Filipinos. The protagonist is interesting, and I wish that I knew more details about her, her team, and her family. I'll read the second volume, and then I'll probably check out the Netflix series, in the hopes that more of the ideas and characters have time and space to be further developed in that format.

Just got volumes 1, 2, and 3 today and I immediately started volume 1. I devoured it and got hooked to Alexandra Trese's world. I admit I didn't have plans to read this comic but when an original anime on Netflix for it was released and it trended online, I got curious. I ordered the books online and waited for them to arrive on my doorstep.

I was excited to dive into the comics and boy I wasn't disappointed! The art is incredible! I've always loved comics. I grew up reading a lot of them although this is the first comic book by a Filipino that I've read. And it is wonderful!

I am hungry for more and I'm excited to read Volume 2!

So awesome to see my filipino heritage more and more in comics. I've waited so long to see the myths and creatures I grew up with in the comic medium.

I absolutely loved this!! It introduced the magic and creatures so well, I instantly felt connected to Alexandra and her relationship with the captain.  The artwork is also beautiful.   Every page was a treat to look at.  So happy we read this for comic book club cause idk if I would have picked it up on my own.   Will def read more and watch the anime on Netflix
