It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by Elizabeth O’Roark. I forgot how well she writes banter between the two main characters. My Favorite Bad Decision is no exception. The snarky banter between Kit and Miller is just so fun to read. As a romance reader, I know all that snark hides Kit and Miller’s true feelings for each other. When they first met, Kit was seventeen and Miller was twenty-two and just started dating Kit’s older sister. Jump eleven years later and these two find themselves on a trip to Kilimanjaro. The banter picks right up from where they left off.
The close proximity of their trip brings these two to more a friend’s vibe by the end. This slow burn romance may have you stay up past midnight reading on how these two finally get together. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

RECAP: Kit Fischer never wanted to climb Kilimanjaro - least of all with Miller West, her smugly handsome enemy. But days of shared tents & banter have her wondering if she ever hated him… and if the mountain will keep their secrets.
REVIEW: Let me start by saying that you’re not on Kilimanjaro for the whole book - you’re there for the first half. You could tell the author did her research when it came to making the climb, but she didn’t go into so much detail that it’s overwhelming. There’s the enemies to lovers (albeit somewhat one sided?) trope, but I just could not get past the whole reason why Miller and Kit knew each other in the first place (just, no). I think that really took me out of their romance.
