This is a beautifully well written book it’s just unnecessarily loooong! It dragged on and on and felt, at times, like tediously climbing a mountain with no gear in order to reach the top.

I found that this one was a bit of a let down from the first book.  I liked the book well enough but the things I disliked etched out all enjoyment.

I didn’t really jive with either character and couldn’t really conjure up the necessary  emotions to full immerse myself because of that fact.  Both characters were incredibly self loathing, selfish, arrogant, and treated everyone outside of their orbit like crap and then made excessive excuses for their behavior. They were both s h i t t y people who deserved each other.

I understood their trauma and their reasoning but their actions and reactions didn’t justify, at least in my mind, their behavior and consistently  crappy choices.

I liked Franky and Leland but I also disliked them slightly more. The ending sort of redeemed them but not enough to get over the initial dislike.

Also, there was so much internal dialogue and martyrdom it was redundant and eye roll inducing.

Lastly, a choice when an obstacle is removed isn’t a choice…it’s simply an illusion.

This is the second book in the Infidelity series, this is an age gap, best friend's dad, hurt/comfort read about Leland and Franklin and is a standalone but reads better in order. This is a very intense, steamy book that I loved so much.

Wow! The Rollercoaster of emotions I had while reading this book. It was love...hate...then love again. The character development you see with Leland and Franky was amazing. Leland's story was just so heartbreaking I constantly wanted to squeeze him and give him a hug. Definitely recommend if your looking for a book that has spice but also has the emotions and the story to go with it

We first met Leland & Franklin in the Good Liar, and you knew secrets were being held, but wow, we did not expect them to be so deep and so brutal.
Franklin has always done what's right for his family in any way he could, especially at the detriment to his own happiness until Leland. Leland has never had anyone choose him above all partly due to his past partly due to life around him. Leland and Franky start their journey knowing it can't be more and are both destroyed in the process for the better good of everyone else.
But fate gives these two lost men a second chance, and souls will be barred as they always should have been. The wrongs of the past will be rectified even if others are hurt in the process because, for once, they will come first.
This is a story of pain and acceptance, and in the end, forgiveness cause no one is perfect, but that doesn't mean they can't be perfect for their match still.

I really liked Franky and Leland together. They had chemistry right from the start. It was their undeniable connection that made them special though. It was so strong and genuine. It just felt right between them, It wasn't an easy journey and my heart broke for them. But I loved it and in the end was happy with where they ended up!
