Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an audiobook to listen to and review.

For the audiobook I reviewed a synthetic voice was used so I am unable to comment on the narrator.

This was a great book and would be an awesome read aloud for grades 5-7. I really like how the story was told from the perspectives of multiple characters. It allows the reader to better understand their motives and actions. There was a pretty cool mystery as well, which actually kept me engaged.

I will definitely be adding a print copy of this to my library.

It was okay read. I think Jet wasn't a very likable character and he did not really improve in a way that a reader could connect with. I did enjoy his growth and how he solved the mystery and grew in a way where he started to appreciate his friends and situation. However, I felt like part of the story got cut short and it would have been more interesting to focus on it. I enjoyed the rest of the characters and I really enjoyed the mystery.

Fast-paced, alternating narrators and the audio version helped me blast through this one. Mostly realistic, even if the characters (Jett Baranov - spoiled rich kid, Grace Atwater - believer in the Oasis of Mind and Body Wellness, Tyrell Karrigan - allergy-prone kid w/parents on every diet, Matt Louganis - Jett’s babysitter, Brandon Bucholz - aggressive football player’s son, and Brooklynne Feldman - mysterious girl who knows a LOT about this place) are a bit stereotypical and predictable, this one (that included a “needling” lizard) has some twists and turns that kept me reading along. The seventh graders could totally like it.

It was a good book and it had a unique story but compared to my favorite books it wasn't that interesting but I can definitely see a lot of people liking this book.
