Cute, weird, quick read that feels a little like Holes, in some ways. Another student recommended read that took a while to come in.

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. A group of teens at a summer health retreat, led by the snarky son of a Silicon Valley billionaire, hide a pet lizard. However, it turns out that it isn’t a lizard at all, and a staff member at the retreat is up to something highly illegal. Hand this to reluctant middle school readers who like humor.
Read this years ago but remembered how much I liked it
Fun, easy to read, relevant. And silly but not beyond the scope of imagination. The kids solve all the problems while learning good life lessons and experiencing adventures together.

I really enjoyed this book. There were a few unexpected turns and it didn’t leave any questions unanswered.
Not my favorite book by Gordon Korman, but my students will love this quirky mystery told from multiple perspectives. Ages 10 and up.
