I absolutely adore this book. The point of this book was to make a fairy tale for adults and it succeeds at doing that. The world building is so integral and so interesting. Everything does happen fast and there are a few points where things just work out, but because of the goal being a fairy tale I don't think that hurts the story as much as it would in other forms of media. Great read.

Such a great story and so creative! It has everything: action, suspense, romance, fantasy. I loved it!
I watched the movie several years ago and I'm normally hesitant about reading a book after the movie. The book was worth the read. The audiobook had an interview with Gaiman afterwards about him writing the book and why he narrates many of his own books. That was pretty awesome.
