It was absolutely delectable!!...freaking delicious!..
Seriously now...
I've been on #TEAMGAVIN from the first pages of the book...even from the first time we got to read about him especially by his POV...He is sweet but passionate, sensitive but determined..
In other words, he is a hard-core ,sexy as sin and yet playful swoon-worthy man..
Dillon..Don't get me started on him..What a -- jerk..Never ceases to amaze me how people see themselves..He's officially catalogued as an arrogant pig..
And now we have sweet Emily..How doesn't she see the reality is beyond me and it was a bit annoying..But she is very cute and well Gavin's love..
Anyway,I loved the book, maybe mainly due to Gavin's character..What can I say?!I'm a sucker for this type of men..
Can't Wait for #Pulse !!!

The most annoying and stupid female character ever.

He deserved someone better
And she deserved to marry that moron and have a sad loveless marriage.

the way the main character has no balls and allows herself to be pushed around by her boyfriend, and then suddenly grow balls when it comes to telling off the people who are trying to help her is insufferable. she’ll let her boyfriend tell her who to be friends with and not stand up for herself, but turn around and get mad at her friend after her boyfriend calls her a fcking slur. the last straw was agreeing to get engaged to the guy after only JUST meeting his parents. she brought up completely true reasons why they should wait and yet forgot all of it and agreed anyway. bet she’ll yell at her friend for trying to reason with her and get her out of it too. she is the worst fcking character ever i honestly can’t believe i stuck around as long as i did cause I’m still so pissed about how everything was going. she’s gullible, naive and just lets herself get pushed around, but ignores when her long term friend gives her advice and BARELY defends her and way too easily gets over her boyfriend calling her a slur for the friend VERY REASONABLY being upset that he fcking cheated on her. she seriously needs to get her priorities straight, it’s ridiculous. I’m so mad i read this far, was a waste of my time
I really hate to limit my rating to three stars because I did enjoy reading this book. In fact, I stayed up well past my bedtime for two nights in a row because I couldn't put it down. Despite my clear interest in the storyline, there were little things about Collide that really bothered me. In fact, there were so many that I can't justify rating this book anything higher than a three.
1. Ihate loathe the third person narrative. I know, it's the most commonly used narrative in fiction. HOWEVER . . . this isn't true for the majority of books I enjoy reading. I think authors tend to lean on the third person POV because it's the easiest to write. It's also lazy. The author inevitably starts to slip in and out of the minds of the characters without any indication that he/she has done so, which is confusing and diffuses the natural flow of the story. I can't tell you how many times I had to go back and reread pages or paragraphs for this very reason. It's a waste of my time.
2.
The characters are not the least bit likable (with the exception of Gavin, of course).
Emily (the protagonist) is the total opposite of a strong and independent woman. In contrast, she's the most fragile woman that ever lived. She weeps, in shocks and gasps, throughout the entirety of the book, and her boyfriend is a textbook sociopath.
I wanted to rip my hair out every time Emily justified the actions of her sorry excuse of a boyfriend. He physically and mentally abuses her on the daily, and she doesn't want to leave him. Even though she's got "Mr. Millionaire Hottie with a Body" begging her to leave him and whispering things like "If I could, I'd rip my heart out to show you how much I love you" into her ear.
3. It's unnecessarily long and drawn out.
4. Last, but certainly not least, just look at these lines:
He felt drawn to her. (Chpt 1)
Emily's eyes were magnetically drawn to Gavin. (Chpt 8)
She also felt unmistakably drawn to him. (Chpt 9)
In that moment, she felt drawn to him. (Chpt 16)
His eyes locked onto Emily. (Chpt 1)
When he pulled back, their gazes met and locked. (Chpt 2)
She felt inordinately overwhelmed when their eyes met and locked. (Chpt 2)
Emily scanned the crowd and locked eyes with Gavin. (Chpt 6)
His eyes met and locked with hers. (Chpt 6)
Her emerald-green eyes locked on to beautiful baby blues. (Chpt 7)
His eyes locked on Emily's. (Chpt 10)
As he placed her on her feet, their eyes locked. (Chpt 10)
Eyes still locked on hers, he gathered her hair. (Chpt 11)
She felt oddly alone until her eyes locked onto Gavin's. (Chpt 13)
Emily's gaze locked onto Gavin's. (Chpt 13)
Her beautiful emerald eyes locked onto his icy blue ones. (Chpt 15)
Her breath caught when Gavin's brilliant blue eyes locked on hers. (Chpt 18)
Her eyes locked on his. (Chpt 19)
Their eyes never unlocked. (Chpt 19)
Her eyes locked on Gavin. (Chpt 19)
Those came straight from the book.

I did like the book, I found myself very annoyed by Emily. I really get why she made the character that way, I was just so frustrated at times I had to walk away. That being said I really enjoyed the overall writing style and story line.
OMG, I loved and hated and loved this book. I love the roller coaster, angsty relationship that Emily and Gavin have at the same time I HATED it... and seriously, that ending. WTF!!!!
My biggest issue with this book... EMILY.
I wanted to slap the snot out of her so many times I lost count. She has a boyfriend that very much lives up to his Douchepickle nickname (totally love that, btw, and will be adopting it into my vocabulary) and an admirer that would lay down everything just to be with her but who does she keep running to? UGH, so frustrating! Commence slapping.
I can't wait to read the next book. Seriously, give it to me NOW. It's not right to leave us hanging like that!

Spoiler
AND then, when things finally seem to be coming together for her and Gavin, a slight misunderstanding and she's kicking him to the curb and running back to Douchepickle without a second thought and doesn't believe Gavin when he confronts her with the truth. However, she can blatantly watch her boyfriend cheat on her and then believe him when he says it's not what it looks like. Yeah, okay, uh huh. But she won't believe Gavin when he's done nothing but be completely wonderful to her.I can't wait to read the next book. Seriously, give it to me NOW. It's not right to leave us hanging like that!
To be honest, I didn't finish. I got 85% done and just stopped. I had no motivation to finish. I knew how it was going to end. So I knocked off a star for each of those things. Overall, it's wasn't a bad book, but I don't know if I would recommend it.
Major cliffhanger. This book just frustrated me, I LOVED Gavin Blake but I have no love for Emily. The secondary characters were enjoyable and helped keep me engaged in the story.
