So the MC ends up with ... Her stalker?

This book was all over the place. Parts seemed like they were written by different people. It was all too much. Is this a chiclit? Is it a story about 9/11? Is it a mystery? A story about adultery? Who even knows.

Girl... this rocked my world a bit. It was really f'd up to a point, though. The story centers around 9/11, and some components of the story I felt were too convenient.
challenging emotional hopeful tense slow-paced

This was going to be a 4 star until I got to chapter 28.

This book is messed up! But it does reflect that life is complex and things are not always black and white.

This book was a quick and easy read and I liked it enough. The story had twists, although somewhat predictable, and even though I didn’t really want the ending as written- I was fine with it. So again, I liked it enough and if you need a quick read, go for it!

I will say, I’ve heard/seen some pretty unsavory things from this author, so take this review with a grain of salt in light of her character. The plot use of 9/11 might not be the most admirable, but it did provide a solemn moment of reflection on the tragic event for me.

This was definitely an interesting read. From the beginning I guessed what was going to happen to the mmc, so I felt like I was reading a thriller at times even though after finishing, I would definitely keep it in the romance category. Near the end I was really liking where the book was going and the predictable end, but then it changed lanes and I ended up not loving where it ended up. I enjoyed it when I was reading it, but didn’t feel the need to pick it back up after setting it down, which was why it took me so long to get through.

It was interesting, though not my favorite by Emily Giffin. Also not my least favorite. I enjoyed the twists, and the detail of the scenes. Something in the story just didn’t sit with me.

I wanted to like this more. But something just felt off
