I ate this book up. Was this ACOTAR or Fourth wing style writing? No. But not every book needs to be. This was an easy fun read that kept the action coming.

I was slightly confused on why Huntyr hated Wolf so much but easily clicked with Lanston when Lanston was not as helpful as Wolf but by the end you kind of get it. Lanston was no risk and Wolf was all risk.

I hope she remembers what the Goddess said. She needs to pull on that in the second book.

This was an easy, laid back, attention getting book. Go in relaxed and you will enjoy it. Expect immaculate writing and plot? It’ll disappoint. Want a good time and out of a book slump? It’ll do just that.

This was easy and fun to read but the main character really annoyed me. There was a lot of narrative about how tough she was but the actions didn’t always match up.
The structure / storyline felt an awful lot like Serpent and the Wings of Night…

I'll admit it, this is your typical, run-off-the-mill romantasy book.
The love story is based on physical attraction, the FMC is your average snarky fighter assassin that needs a man to save her, the MMC has no personality except for wings and height.
Aside form all that, the world caught my interest. While I saw most of the plot twists in this book coming, I feel like I can't really tell yet what's happening in a larger scope.

For that and the easy readability this book gets 3 stars from me. It was a fun time.

The writing is not the best, I have no clue where the plot is going. The story seems to be trying to do too much and not enough at the same time. Like adding too many tropes to 1 book and not being able to properly nurture them.
