It could also just as easily be titled A Day in the Life of Bast. The story takes place over the course of a single day from dawn through midnight and it follows Bast as he leaves the Wayward Inn in the morning and gets into mischief and bargain making with the various youngsters around Newarre. It's a nice story that provides a lot of insight into Bast's character and relationships with people and something of what it means to be Fae.
Absolutely fantastic story. The characters feel real and it's fascinating to get pulled into their little lives.

There’s not a lot going on here really but it was good to read something by Pat again.
He has such a beautiful, easygoing way of telling a story. Never rushed, with surprising details scattered throughout, Rothfuss really is one of the easiest authors to read. It’s a poetic, flowing journey that continually leaves me wanting more.
I hope we do get more soon, but in the meantime, this was an enjoyable little romp that at least somewhat satiated my thirst.
