A deeply moving and inspiring read. I am a true Duchess fan.
I didn’t know quite what to expect, but it wasn’t this. How much of it do I even believe? And does it matter if not everything is true as long as it’s True? I liked being surprised by this at every turn, and I always love chronicles of times the internet is able to be good and life-affirming. The audio took some getting used to, but I settled in soon.
I likely didn't give this enough time as I thought it rather silly and didn't enjoy and abandoned it.

I confess that perhaps this book is not for everyone. But if you follow the Duchess on Twitter, you already know that she has a turn of phrase that is positively delightful. We don’t know who she is exactly. But she created the Duchess as an alter-ego to a woman who lost her marriage, her home, and full custody of her son. She gathers people around her who love her quirky writings (that's not the right word), including the likes of Lyle Lovett, with whom she has struck up a strong friendship (he does know who she is). This book takes the reader through the growth of the Duchess (in a non-linear, random consciousness sort of way), that i personally found delightful. And now, I may just go over to Twitter and tell her so.
Just delightful, entertaining, thoughtful, enviable. "Her grace" has a wonderful voice, warm, encouraging, consoling, upbeat and grounded in experience. Loved this story of the woman behind the fiction.
