When the men in the FMC's life are so full of red flags that you start rooting for the insane psychotic stalker 🚩🚩🚩
I loved that this wasn't the typical stalker romance and that we were guessing the stalker is one of the men in the FMC's life. And the clues the author gave us made me feel like a giddy kid fixing a jigsaw puzzle. 🤭 Was is a hard puzzle? No. But it was still very fun.I suspected from the very start that Alex was Reid and the moment he filled in his full name on that form, I fking cheered because I desperately wanted Reid to be Alex! 😭
The plot is this was very well done imo. Some might find it a bit too predictable but I think it was purposely written that way. To be honest, I actually liked that. I think I would have been annoyed if there was some crazy plot twist 😠 because while those can be fun, they're really not necessary and can ruin the story. So I'm glad we stuck with predictable.
"Despite the whole serial killer thing, you're kinda the perfect man." And he really is??? 😭❤️ Is he absolutely bonkers nuts and morally bankrupt? Yes. Does he need to be locked up behind bars for life? Definitely. Is he seriously dark and messed up? Yes. But he's my flavour of seriously dark and messed up 😭😭😭

I love this so much. The banter between characters was amazing and yes, it was a little pick me, but believable. It felt like a otome game of whose route are we going to go with and each ending could be believable. Very sad about viper and kinda wished it was explored. Felt like too many alleys to explore and not enough time. Def could’ve been like double the time!

Spice was top tier, the plot twist/reveal was predictable but if that doesn’t bother you give it a chance. It’s a smut filled dark romance that will have you fanning yourself, even if you’ll be able to see where the story is going.

Am I not a dark romance reader? I found myself rolling my eyes more than sweating, so maybe not.
I liked the plethora of morally grey characters. I liked that the FMC was also a little questionable. The sex positivity was also a plus. Buuuuuut… all of the characters were really cliche and annoying. I also don’t love the “not like other girls” trope in contemporary romance.
I wouldn’t talk someone out of reading it, but I also won’t recommend it.
