From the first chapter I was hooked. Reid is an interesting point of view and I loved his chapters whenever they came up. Kayah's point of view though, was not my favorite. Her character was often contradictory and I just didn't connect with her. The majority of this book just seems like her indecision on men. In the first chapter, she mentions that she won't give Crowe a chance because she knows he would never be exclusive. Later, when he tells her that is EXACTLY what he wants, both Crowe and Kayah point out that SHE is in fact the one more interested in "Playing the Field." That wouldn't bother me so much, if not for the inconsistency.
This hardly felt like a stalker romance. The stalker part actually seemed a non issue for her until about 55% of the way into the book. Until then, the fact that she has a stalker seems like an afterthought.
If this had been told only from Reid's point of view, it probably would have been a 5 star for me. I was also very disappointed in the epilogue. The entire ending and "reveal" felt rushed. (It's obvious who the stalker is so it hardly feels like a reveal but Kayah is not the sharpest tool in the shed). I did enjoy the author's writing even if I didn't enjoy Kayah's character.
