I think this might be my favorite of the Anne series so far! I just loved the quirky cast of characters in this one.
i think this might be one of my favourites of the anne books so far. i really enjoyed it and loved all the new characters especially leslie. she was so sweet and nuanced in her sorrow. i so absolutely sad when anne's baby joyce died. i was tearing up a bit there. ugh and poor old captain jim. i loved him as well. i was so sad that he died. his ending was perfect though with his life book.

This was sweet and in moments really emotional. It is nice seeing Anne grown up and in different roles. The supporting characters here were interesting enough. I do wish some parts got more focus and exploration than they did.
I liked this book in the series. Although it still told other characters' stories as well, it also told a lot about Anne's married life. It was emotional at times but still a very hopeful book. Gilbert was my favorite character in the book, I wish he was in the book even more.
Anne and Gilbert marry and move to their little dream house. Lots of interesting characters, really loved it.
While I really liked some of the new characters in the book, like Cornelia and Captain Jim, I disliked how much Anne has changed from the previous books. Of course, she is grown up and married now, but I would have liked to see her at least continue to be a writer.
