Wedding time.
I don't like what's happening with Anne. I feel like a lot of her 'self' from the earlier books is slowly disappearing on us, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

L.M. Montgomery is a long time and all time favorite author of mine. She writes the perfect girls story with just the right mix of adventure, drama and happiness. I find her books a comfort to read and have re-read most of works many times over the years. They are classics for a reason and that reason is they are great.

My Anne is finally back! The past three books have been, at best, "eh", but this one stood up to the expectations set by the first book, [b:Anne of Green Gables|20312870|Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1)|L.M. Montgomery|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1403539590l/20312870._SX50_.jpg|3464264].
Anne and Gilbert finally marry, and move into their little house 'o dreams. I quite liked the fact that the story is focused more on Anne and Gilbert and their neighbours, Miss Cornelia, Leslie and Captain Jim, versus the three previous book, where there were so many characters introduced that I couldn't care for any of them. Also-what happened to all Anne's friends at Windy Poplars? She lived there for three years, and not a single one came to her wedding. I guess L.M. Montgomery doesn't care enough about them either.
This book was delightful-and tragic. Anne went through many changes and it was so realistically and well written, and though I love New Womanly Anne, I miss the little redheaded one.
The one thing that saddens me slightly is the fact that Anne gave up writing and focused all thoughts and motherhood and wifehood. Not that there's anything wrong with being a housewife, but she was an excellent writer and I thought that's where her career was headed.

And our Anne is married!! I love it, but i felt like it lacked some details, but I'm noticing that's Lucy Maud Montgomery's style. I would love to read their weeding vows and about their first dance. But I liked the change of scenery and their House of Dreams. I hated when she lost little Joyce but loved meeting Little Jem.
