** Re-read for the release of book #5**

I liked the series from Christian's point of view. It gave some clarity as to what he was going through and dealing with.

3.5 stars!
It was certainly rough being inside Grey's head. The poor guy berates himself too much, but it's understandable given his past.
Fifty Shades of Grey was not my favorite of the series and there was a lot of "okay, I get it!" moments as I was reading this one as with the original, but I'm glad to have his point of view and to know what was going on from his side. Reading Grey was a lot harsher to read than it was reading Ana's POV, but I think that really shows how well this novel was done because his general mindset is very rough around the edges almost verging on abusive which is certainly because of his outlook on life and himself. In Fifty Shades Ana's POV was a lot softer and I felt more sympathy towards their situation because her personality was driving the story. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoyed the Fifty Shades series!

I really enjoyed reading Christian's point of view. I do not recommend reading Grey right after Fifty Shades because the conversations are all the same so it might bore you reading the same scenes again. I smiled, I laughed, I was heartbroken, and almost even cried for Christian. I really enjoyed being inside of his head because this relationship was a first for him so I liked seeing how he was confused about everything he was doing and feeling.

Honestly the author’s views of what is sexy and seductive don’t mesh with mine. I found myself thinking Christian made more sense as a serial killer

I'm sad. You know why I am sad? Because I used to LOVE Fifty Shades. I've read the series 3x and have loved it every time.
Unfortunately, this year I decided to do a reread and could barely get through the first book. I didn't continue rereading the series.
I saw Grey available in the Libby app and decided to reread it, remembering how much I loved it.
I got about halfway through before I wanted to give up. Ugh its just tooooo muuuch.

I am sad because I feel like an era of my life is gone. But I will always treasure Fifty Shades for opening me up to a romance world I didn't know.

I'm embarrassed to admit I read this book (well, listened on audio). At least I got it at the library and didn't pay for it.

honestly, i really enjoyed this. christian and ana are obvi fucked up and toxic as hell, but it was almost refreshing to read this from christian’s pov and really get that insight into how he felt during the course of their relationship during the first book

Bleh. It was the same thing all over again. It wasn't until the last 100-150 pages that I felt the author really began to explore to inner workings of Christian Grey. Too long to go to get to that part based on where they ended the book, there are bound to be 2 more of the same.

Well, it's actually worse than what you might think.
