Love Love Loved it!
I absolutely loved Christian's point of view. This made the story even better! I think I even love this more than I loved Fifty Shades of Grey and that says a lot! I want MORE!!!!!

Don't ask me why I read it. I don't know either. I would say it's a form of masochism, but honestly that would be doing as much of a disservice to that as this book does. I was curious how much back-pedalling there'd be, given the feedback on the trilogy itself, I thought maybe E.L. James might've taken that on board. It's definitely there; little notes of how Ana didn't use the safe word, so of course Christian could keep going without checking on her, that it was her fault he went too far (the operative part of that sentence being 'he went too far'). At the beginning of the book particularly, the objectification of Ana is really quite painful to read; not only in how he looks at her body, but also in how he repeatedly refers to trying to get her to sign the contract as 'closing the deal' and that he needed her consent, how important it was, but at the same time completely ignoring that consent isn't a one time thing. It isn't given and then lasts for evermore, it can be retracted at any time and it should be respected. The thing that worries me most about the popularity of this book is the potential for readers to think that Grey's idea of consent is normal. If a prospective partner ever reminds you of Christian Grey, for god's sake run. Run as fast and as far away as you possibly can.
The one positive thing I can think of, looking back on this book, is that someone might have their interest in reading rekindled by the media hype, and that after it they go on to read other (better) books. That it could be the start of something good for a reader. Honestly, I can't think of a single other redeeming feature. It's one of those books that makes you sit back and yell "Really? REALLY?!" at the page in frustration. I'd advise having cushions nearby you can throw your book/e-reader at without damaging it, because you will want to. Repeatedly.

Mweh. I don't like the book. The only part I did like, and yet still didn't was the last, in which Ana has gone away. It's just too much of the same shit over and over againm

I had to change my review. I was really mad. Anyway I like the trilogy. That was my first erotic series and it will always remain one of my favourite book but this book fell short of that. I would have liked if the storyline was different or a different element. People will have different opinions of the book but she doesnt deserve my wrath anymore. She just wrote a book that a lot of people really expected too much. I personally was disappointed but i will forever appreciate that the trilogy introduced me to the genre.

I fell in love all over again if not harder reading from his point of view.
I love Grey's view on the story as it goes. I also love the addition of some scenes we didn't get in the original series. Love love love.
This version was no better than the original. *sigh* I give up!
For some reason, I thought this version would be better than the other. It isn't. I'm sure many other people enjoy this story, but I just cannot get into it.
As a writer and lover of Erotica, this just doesn't read true to me. There doesn't seem to be a mutual power exchange here. It's very one sided and in favor of the male. The sheer fact that he was eventually "nice to her" and this should be seen and accepted as growth for his character is a sorry excuse and it just feels weak and contrived.
I can honestly say now that, I've tried.
