I was hoping it would be a part 4 of the series, but it follows the course of events that Ana goes through. It doesn't give much perspective into Christians past as I would have hoped, but it's a quick, easy beach read.

What the hell was I thinking?

Terrible. Save your time.

I enjoyed reading the book from his view. Kind of what I was thinking that he was thinking at times. Loved that it went past the the break up and how he was dealing with it. Would love to have E.L.James write another book from his perspective for the darker and freed books. I also want to read the first three books all over again to remind myself the storyline as I haven't read the first book since it came out.

It wasn't terrible. It was far better edited than the first three books, and I actually preferred Christian to Ana when it came to narrative voices. Although some lines were just so horrifically bad... Ginger root comes to mind!!! I had to laugh.
But it was a solid guilty pleasure read.

Good ending, real good ending.

What I've learned about relationships from this book is that if you are a clumsy dimwit you can catch a man whose a complete self absorbed asshole and have a magical relationship where he flies you places in his helicopter and gives you first edition books but only ever thinks about himself and spends all his time visualizing you with other men EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE A VIRGIN BEFORE HIM.

Highly recommend listening to this as an audio book though. It's 14 hours of your life that you will definitely want back, but listening to this guy talk as Ana and little Christian is simply priceless.

Didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. 2.5 Stars!

I will be taking no questions at this time.

It was super redundant and made Christian Grey seem more creepy than before.

3.5 stars

While I really enjoyed this book and the perspective that it gave me into the mind of Christian, I found that I had to force myself to finish it. However, I am glad that I did because the last parts of the book were so worth the struggle.
