I absolutely loved reading this story told from Christians perspective. It gave a lot of insight and back story information about his past. I am sad to see Christian and Anastasia's story come to an end, and hope that maybe in the future we will get a chance to revisit them again.
Ummmmm... did EL James just lose all her creativity? If you thought the series, as told by Ana’s inner goddess, was bad, you’ve got another think coming. Grey is even worse.
75% of the material in this is recycled from 50 Shades of Grey, the other 25% is Christian Grey’s thoughts about his twitching dick.
Don’t bother.

After my love (not) of the first 3 books I bravely decided to have some closure and finish the series. That and it was for a reading challenge. So here we are again, reading yet another 50 shades book (yay -.-), it can't be any worse that than the other three right?
This book is the exact same as the first book however it is from the point of view of Christian instead of Ana. This is because the publishers thought they could really cash in with this series, not but seriously did they really need to do the series again from a different perspective?
So I'm going to do this book review based on its own merit, not related to the other books in the series because I went into this thinking it was going to be dreadful so it didn't really have much hope.
In terms of the story it is dreadful however as the first book (50 shades of Grey) had the same story I cannot really judge it on this because E.L. James couldn't have improved the story for this book. That being said I don't think this book was that bad.

Her writing is slightly better, still a trashy book.
I loved this book because it gave me his pov, which was well needed and loved from my part.
Spicy, but wondering whether it was necessary to reread the story from his point of view.
Meh, this was just a repeat of the previous book. It wasn't a different enough of a perspective to make it worth the time that it took for me to read it. I don't think that I will read the series.
So can we all agree that E. L. James is a horrible writer but an amazing story teller? Her writing has improved. I enjoyed reading the story from Christians's POV however it didn't add anything to the story. Normally when a writer tells a story from multiple POVs it adds a layer of depth that you wouldn't normally see from just one POV. This book was really just a retelling. That being said, it satisfied my curiosity and I enjoyed it.
