If I didn't like volume one, I should have presumed I wouldn't like volume two. Oh well.

This was ok, but was way to similar to Brubaker's previous work in the series Sleeper. Agent goes undercover in an underground villainous organization, and then shit goes wrong.

Zack Overkill, supervillain-cum-hero, has to infiltrate his old organization to try to help retrieve one of the good guy's undercover agents who might have gone native. We learn more about Zack's family & how they were killed.

This book finishes the series. Gritty & violent, it's a well told tale.
If you enjoy graphic novels, pick this two-volume series up.

Kind of sad this is the end of it, I wanted to see where this was going. Pacing, art, and story was still amazing and engaging.

Great follow up, but the ending was just cruel, i need the next installment asap. So much better than that Mark Waid nonsense. Incorruptible wishes it could.

Good, but not as good as the first volume. The latter part of the volume really makes you think.

A solid follow up to part one. What happens when a villain now working for the good guys has to infiltrate the underworld again as a double-agent? Will Zack succumb to the old ways? His past is also right behind him & wants him dead!

I like the world, but this story didn't grab me, which is unusual for a Brubaker book.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first volume. It was nothing special - solidly written, of course, but the undercover-agent-gone-native part of the story reminded me too much of Sleeper. The art was gorgeous, though, and I have to say I love Phillips' lettering almost as much as his art.
