Wonderfully entertaining fluff. I read these books like my girls eat popcorn. I laughed out loud on occasions. Not demanding at all, not likely to win awards, but great reads.
Questionable messaging, strong narration, and surprisingly fascinating world building….. yeah I’m reading the next book

This book as a whole is just plain okay. There are some parts that were terrible. But the actual story was kinda interesting. I’m not really a fan of the book, but it was so fun to read (thanks shreyu). That being said I have a few problems with this.
There is so much slut shaming in this book, and that’s a big no no.
The entire cast of this book is ultra gentrified and so annoying. How are all the moroi white and skinny? Why is Rose such a hypocrite when it comes to hooking up? Why is Rose always so catty when describing other girls?
And another thing that bothered me was the fact that there was so much royalty. That’s just stupid.
With all that, I think the drama still drives you to read, but the book still sucks.
Definitely going to keep reading.

This is a strong first book for a YA series with some pretty unique characters. The world it builds is a fun one.
