I loved Tom and Darcy so much. I really wish we got to see Tom’s POV. I might be in a cheesy mood but I just loved this story I love the way it all panned out.

I'm so disappointed I can't even explain. I loved The Hating Game. It's one of my favorite romance books and I was so in love with the characters, khm Joshua khm, but after reading this I am rethinking if I really liked it that much.
Darcy is a selfish, annoying and terrible character. I couldn't stand her. I was reading this book for so long because it was boring and slow and Darcy was so bad that I wasn't invested into the story and didn't want to finish the book. The only reason why I deceded to actually read it till the end is my love for the previous book Sally wrote. That pushed me thru this book.
Story seemed inconsistent, and I don't know if it is really like that or was I distracted with how bad it was. Darcy as a main character is someone I don't ever want to see again in any book, she wines and is so dramatic and patetic at the same time. I really don't know how I managed to read this, I wanted to give up after 15 pages.
I don't know, I'm so confused by this. I hope if she publishes another book that it would be something lovely as THG, not like this.

I’m being kind for Sally’s sake. 2.5 Stars. Rounding up for the epilogues but ugh.
UGH
This book infuriated me.
Tom is too pure for the Barrett twins. I’ll keep him for myself.
The thing about The Hating Game was that we loved Lucy. I dislike Darcy a lot.
If I felt anything for anyone, it was Tom.
Ugh just so frustrating.
Also, is it necessary for her to be this jaded at 26?? Can’t these characters be in their 30’s??

I’ve come back to write this because I still think about “get in me” and laugh out loud. This is a worthy read even if it’s messy. Gender swapped jerk/angel trope and interesting reflection on living with chronic illness.

Having enjoyed Thorne’s first novel, [b:The Hating Game|25883848|The Hating Game|Sally Thorne|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1467138679s/25883848.jpg|45762345], I was looking forward to this new story. I must admit that at first I found the narration difficult... Darcy is on full destruction mode, her mind a veritable maelstrom, and her resulting voice was sometimes a bit much. Still, I was kind of mesmerised by it and carried on reading.
Our two, actually, three main characters, Darcy, her twin brother Jaime, and Tom, are all ‘damaged' people trying to deal with life in the best way they can. This was actually fascinating, the psychology of it. The twins are vicious to each other and Tom always ends up being in the middle, the peace maker. But what happens when the dynamics are changed?
I ended up actually enjoying it, not as much as the first novel, but I think I appreciated the story more. If anything, I would have liked more - on Jaime, on Tom, and how it all goes on from there.

This book is so meh. I don’t like Darcy at all, Tom isn’t all that great either. The writing is childish. The Hating Game has some immature flirting, but that was the point. This book there are moments when the characters are dead serious and the words coming out of their mouths or running through their heads are cringy and laughable.
There were also so many moments where I couldn’t tell if she was talking out loud or thinking, I did listen to the audio book though so that could be the readers fault not the books.
I should have DNFed this book but wanted to give it a chance since I liked The Hating Game so much.
