This was another stunning novel from the great Sally Thorne! There is just something about the characters that she writes that just draws me in and won’t let go.

A bit slow…

plot felt half baked and the pacing of all the relationships (their conflicts and resolutions) didn’t make much sense to me. Basically had to force myself to finish it but nothing memorable that would make me want to read it again

I tweeted at her recently about the comfort zone and she said that it had been indefinitely shelved but she was working on a new story.

The premise is the only reason for the two stars. This book was almost incomprehensible. The conversations were incredibly hard to follow and the mood shifted at every moment. It was impossible to guess whether a character was angry or excited by a situation because they would continuously switch between said emotions during a conversation.

I was quite disappointed by this book :(

2.75 but i refuse to give it 3 stars it was trashy and kinda weird at times (it made me uncomfortable) but enjoyable ig

This book made me feel like Sally Thorne went to her editor and was like “hey I wrote this novel and it’s mostly stream of consciousness and really needs to be cleaned up, but I think it has potential.” And the editor was like “nah it’s good let’s send it to publishing”. It was MESSY. Not dramatic, but messy as in confusing and hard to follow.
