Every time Darcy says alpha an angel loses its wings.

This was such an incredibly toxic coupling. There were times when I almost put it down and decided DNF was the only option. I also never found myself rooting for Darcy AT ALL. Also didn't much care for Tom. How am I supposed to believe in this romance when I don't even like the characters? So far Sally Thorne is 1-1 on her books.

Even cuter than her debut! (If you don't think that's possible... Just you wait!) Such a great pre-Valentine's Day read. My heart is a big pile of happy mush now 🥰

Are the straights alright?

I liked it but it didn't make me laugh like the Hating Game.

Sally Thorne is definitely going to be one of those authors who I just read whatever she writes, no questions asked. The Hating Game is an absolute favorite, and 99% Mine was a very cute and enjoyable romp that I read in an afternoon/evening.

Unfortunately, I didn't instantly connect with Darcy the way I did with Lucy, so I probably won't be rereading 99% Mine with the fervor I do The Hating Game. Worse, there was no real tension with what was going on with Tom Valeska
Spoiler(the inside flap told us he'd broken up with his fiancee, and by the time he told Darcy that it was so painfully obvious that he was in love with her that there was no real question that this was just her misreading the situation)
so maybe that also dampened my reading a bit. However, I'd still recommend it to people, and (as mentioned above) I'm 110% reading whatever Sally Thorne writes next.

I do have one question to ask, though: Sally, Sally, Sally. How, in 2019, can you justify having a blonde male twin named Jamie?? EVERYONE'S mind is going to go to the exact same (uncomfortable) place.

Wow this was disappointing. The entire novel had zero depth and was only focused on lust and sexual tension. It got to a point where it was A) ENOUGH I GET IT! He’s the sexiest thing she’s ever seen and she wants him so bad to B) this is so objectifying and degrading. I think there was real love between them but that was NEVER a focus of the story. I appreciate a good sexual tension side plot, etc. but when that’s literally the only thing the book ever talks about? I need a little more out of my characters. Other parts of the book also just didn’t make sense to me and any time we were shown the real side of a character they just came off as immature.

I love how quirky Sally Throne’s characters are, but this one missed the mark a little for me.
