If I had read this in 1970 or so, this would have been the most earth shattering book. Arthur C. Clarke has one of the most scientifically accurate speculative imaginations ever. The reason this book is three stars is because, except for the beginning and exciting end of the book, most of his predictions have come to pass. I'm reading about 1960's near-future human technologies. And I don't like history, so it just drags.
