I mean its a classic for a reason but also I do just really want to watch the movie again now haha.
2001: A Space Odyssey was absolutely brain-boggling. It was definitely one of the best books I have ever read. It really made me think about life and death and where our place is as humans in the universe. Arthur C. Clarke uses technology to show what he and Stanley Kubrick thought for the future and how small we are compared to the universe. One thing that one might gripe about, is that we don’t know anything really about the human characters of the novel. We are just introduced to them by how they fit with the story, no background info about their lives before the present. They don’t have many emotions too, never worried, never sad, never happy. The A.I. HAL has more human emotions than the humans themselves. Though this is most definitely on purpose and is probably symbolic.

This is a masterpiece!!! It contains so many moments that are so captivating and imersive. At times it was so dark and cruel. It makes you think about the past and the people who struggled and lived their short lives in caves. We are so lucky we made it so far.
This book is like a dream,so vivid, so hopeful for the future.
It reminds me about my childhood and the dreams i had about the planets and the cosmos overall.
I wish i have read this book sooner. It doesn't even feel like it was written in the 60s.
I suggest people to read it slowly and enjoy every page and moment.
