I did the digital and audio book and the narration was so good and the scenes were so spicy I was clutching my pearls.

We love a friends to lovers and isolated on an island single dad romance? That’s a trope right?

It was funny and creative and we love the fam. Now give me VANDER

J Saman strikes again with another fantastic medical romance. This one will make you swoon and want to find your own single dad hunk to spend time with on a private island.

Tropes:
🏝️ Friends to Lovers
🏝️ Single Dad
🏝️ Actor x Doctor/Author
🏝️ Fake Dating
🏝️ Forced Proximity

Keegan and Loomis have been friends for awhile, and Keegan has had a big crush on him since. Now he’s back in town with a secret baby in tow, and he pretends to be her boyfriend when her ex approaches her. They decide to keep the ruse going for mutual benefits…and Loomis is starting to give into his feelings.

These two are swoon. It was so fun to see both of them kind of figure themselves out now that they’re entering new times in their lives. Fen is a really cute edition, and the mystery surrounding him and who was leaking damaging information to the press was very engaging drama. I adored all the epilogues, and I can’t wait for the next book!

This is the sixth book in the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaire series. I have read and enjoyed every book in this series. These books can be read as standalones but you appreciate them so much more if you read them in order since the characters cross over into other books. So it’s great to glimpses of their lives after their book. In this book we have Keegan who is just getting out of a relationship and she really is in a middle of a crisis. She’s a resident and a writer. She also unfortunately falls and breaks her wrist. Now Loomis is a British actor that has just discovered that he has a child. Now these two have met and while Loomis may have been attracted to her, Keegan was in a relationship. Now these two are hiding out in a small cabin in Florida. They are there pretending to be in a relationship but really they are trying to figure stuff out. Loomis is trying to get to know his son and keep him a secret. Keegan is trying to heal and not get back with her ex-boyfriend. While these two cohabitants get to know each other, well  attraction grows. What’s so interesting about these two is that Loomis has never been in β€œlove” or a serious relationship and Keegan falls hard and fast. Loomis is proof that a reformed rake is the best mate. Some men love one and love well. So can two complete opposites really make it work. Well of course they do or we wouldn’t read the book. Great book, sweet, spicy and quite amusing.

I was just eh on Loomis going into this book but OH MY GOSH. How much I liked him, and him and Keegan together, was undeniably unexpected. 🀣 Their love story ended up one of my favorites of this Irresistible series.

When Loomis - a bad boy movie star never seen with the same woman twice and made it his motto to β€œnever fall in love” and β€œif you do, always love your more” - falls, he falls HARD.  And almost without realizing it until he’s done. He is so sweet and protective towards both his son and Keegan. And Keegan, who had been a side character in the prior books (though we knew if her crush on Loomis), was an absolute delight with her
secret smut career
and hie strong she actually was - while she was at a crossroads of some things of what she wanted, she was at a point where she was strong and not going to settle any longer. No more little mermaid trying to change in the hope that the prince will notice her and fall in love; she’s leaning into who she is.

Maybe I’d describe the 🌢️ as fun more than hot -Loomis has his own particularity following sex that cracked me up every time.

I was convinced that once they got to the β€œreal” world, their little relationship bubble wasn’t going to last. It would burst in that third act breakup. And all the shit being thrown at them? Of course it was. Except that would be lazy and sloppy writing. And Ms J Saman is not a lazy or sloppy writer. No spoilers, but I absolutely love how it played out.

The other part I liked was her ex boyfriend. Specifically, that he wasn’t a terrible person. He may not have been her right person, he may have hurt her, but he wasn’t a bad person. So often in making sure you like the MMC, the author will make sure you know just how terrible the ex is. Again, lazy writing. And again, not something done here.  Yes, I absolutely knew who was F’ing with them releasing all the info, but it’s a romance, not a mystery, so that didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all.

Oh and the cameo by Octavia Abbot-Fritz was *everything.*
funny lighthearted

This series is what introduced me to J Saman and to say I have not been disappointed is an understatement!πŸ₯°

Each story gets better + better. I love how much we get of each couple we’ve already fallen for.

That headline plus a broken wrist, her ex showing up, and it leaking that Loomis has a son no one knew about, and suddenly they’re in a fake relationship.

Loomis needs help keeping his son and saving his career, and Keegan needs someone to stop her from getting back with her ex after he broke her heart.

It seems like the perfect plan until they realize someone is following them a little too closely.

Insert a tiny cottage on an island off the Florida Keys. It's a recipe for their chemistry to boil over!

Between his charming smile, sexy British accent, and swoon-worthy moments with his son, Loomis is everything. πŸ₯΅
Loomis doesn't do love or relationships, and Keegan has a penchant for falling fast and hard for the wrong men.

But with every searing kiss and sheet-clutching encounter, and witty banter I feel harder and harder for these two characters.

If you like spicy πŸ₯΅ feel-good romances with a single dad πŸ‘¨πŸ» a sassy red-head πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ¦° poolside tension πŸ† and roosters won’t quit πŸ“ you’ll love this.

I am undeniably in love with this series! Loomis and Keegan (and we can't forget sweet little Fen) were so fantastic that I couldn't put their story down. There's something special about fake dating that becomes realer than anything you've ever experienced before, and Loomis & Keegan were real from the beginning, even if neither of them realized it quite yet.

The fact that Loomis had never been in a relationship, nor said "I love you" to anyone before made their story even more special. For someone that didn't do relationships or love, he sure was top tier book boyfriend material. The way he adored and worshiped Keegan will have you swooning well past the end. I absolutely adored Keegan and how she gave so much of herself to everyone she loved. When she felt lost and unsure what path she should take for her future, she unexpectedly found herself with the help of Loomis and his unwavering love and support.

Another great read from J. Saman! I can't wait for more!

Undeniably Unexpected had me swooning left, right and centre. Butterflies cascaded in my stomach while listening to it. The narrators were so very well cast for these characters. Samantha Brentmoor and Will Watt voiced these characters to a T. They did an absolutely amazing job. It was complete and utter joy to listen to them. I don't know if Will Watt is British or not but his British accent was on point. I quite simply loved this book. I loved the whole bad boy/good girl dynamic. I loved the characters, Loomis and Keegan and the way their relationship developed. I loved watching them finally give in to their feelings for each other after years of pining. It was a cute, sweet, steamy with a bit of drama and suspense that I inhaled. I highly recommend this book.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and this story was very entertaining to read. I truly loved the chemistry between Keegan & Loomis but also the sweet banter they had between each other that just developed from beginning until end; a great romance that blossemed. Next to romance, there were a few questions that put me a bit on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the answers. Truly a great read.
Keegan and Loomis have known each other for a while and when they run into each other, Keegan has a small incident. But Loomis is in a bind and while he's trying to figure out how to deal with his situation, a plan starts to form. Both are hiding away for different reasons but their time together brings them closer. Although there are still a lot of obstacles to overcome, they can't help but feel the spark between them growing. As secrets are finally out, they are figuring out what the future means for them. After everything they've been through, can they make it work in the end?...
hopeful lighthearted mysterious

Loomis suddenly steps in when Keegan is in a bind with her ex and says he's her boyfriend. Only he's wearing a disguise and no one knows he's really himself - a famous actor, and the guy Keegan had a crush on growing up and who she knew through friends. To return the favor, Keegan agrees to help Loomis repair his reputation and help him with his son, a baby who he just found out about. Once they realize someone is following them to reveal their charade, they escape to the Florida Keys for some privacy and get a little too comfortable playing house.

There were a lot of good parts to this book, but overall, the story just didn't hold me as much as others have. The characters were great together, especially their chemistry, but I couldn't help but feel like something was missing from the story. I did enjoy the backstory of the first time these two met and glad I got to see them come together after all that time. Bonus points for having The Little Mermaid and Taylor Swift references in the same book! I will continue on with this series, so I'm looking forward to that.

This is the first time I've listened to Samantha Brentmoor narrated with Will Watt. I absolutely love Samantha and she was wonderful. I'm happy Will Watt narrated this British MMC because I felt like his upbeat voice really played into his character. They both were great!

A big thank you to Must Love Audio and the author for an advanced copy of this audiobook. Opinions are my own.
