When Loomis Powell steps in to help out a friend when her ex was being a little persistent he didn’t think twice about it, after all he was in disguise but before you could say ‘hold the front page’ it was banner headlines that the Brit Bad Boy of Hollywood was romancing Dr Keegan Fritz, basically a member of American royalty but without the blue blood with a secret baby making three it was no wonder the paparazzi went nuts and were rabid for a story so to escape the attention, the trio up sticks to the Florida Keys until things died down and if pretending to be in a relationship helps Loomis keep his son then Keegan is all in to help out.
While low on spice, Undeniably Unexpected was high on pure enjoyment. Loomis and Keegan had met before when his bestie Tinsley fell for one of her cousins and there had been an obvious spark between them, but it had been a case of wrong time, wrong place. Up until now Keegan has always been more of a background character on the periphery but Undeniably Unexpected gives her a time to shine and it turns out the good girl had a rather large secret of her own and going to the island with Loomis would give her the space to figure out what direction she wanted her life to go in and if she got away from her persistent ex then so much the better she didn’t expect to fall head over heels for the father and son duo. Loomis was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. He’d gotten involved with petty crime as a teenager but had managed to sort himself out, supporting his family but at the back of his mind there was always the fear he could lose everything he’d worked for and now just as he was coming to terms with fatherhood, it looked like they were justified when someone starts leaking rumours to the press about him risking not only his career but possibly endangering his son. With a strong vein of humour running through the story, I loved the feral cockerels who inspired fear in everyone except baby Fenric, one of the cutest babies in fiction who stole every scene he was in, and the customary strong family dynamics that came into play as the Fritz family en masse claimed the Powells as theirs and helped bring the villain of the story to book, this was a great addition to the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires series.
I absolutely loved reading Keegan and Loomis' story.
The chemistry has always been there between Keegan and Loomis but he's a playboy who never wants to settle down. When they are thrown together and spend time on a small island with no-one else around.
Will they give into their feelings and admit they both want more or will their fears pull them apart.
It doesn't help that someone is spilling all their secrets.
A must read when secrets are revealed and love conquers everything.
Can't wait for Vander's book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Thanks, @mustloveaaudio and J. Saman for the ALC!
A chance encounter between Hollywood's bad boy and Brit import Loomis Powell and billionaire heiress, medical student and secret romance writer Keegan Fritz sets up the tabloids crazy. They've met before but Loomis made it clear that he wasn't that interested. Now, when trying to save Keegan from face planting in the snow and from interacting with her ex, he unwillingly brings her into his drama. He's recently found out he's a dad but his troubled past might keep him from getting full custody of his baby boy. Dating a Fritz can certainly help. Keegan offers to take him and the baby to the Florida Keys while they pretend to be a couple. There, while taking care of an adorable little boy, avoiding roosters, playing in the pool, they find out that there's always been something between them worth pursuing.
The audiobook is narrated by two of my all time favorite narrators in a pairing I didn't know I needed. Samantha Brentmoor is perfect as the loving doctor/ secret romance writer who's trying not to fall (again) for the alluring babd boy and his little kid. Will Watt's voice is melodious and dreamy, making us fall in love with the bad boy who has been hurt and doesn't believe he's worthy of the girl. Both of them transition not only from female/male voices flawlessly, but also between accents. Audiobook gold!
I also loved catching up with all the Fritzes, especially when they band together to protect their own. And I LOVE that the billionaire is the FMC!
Loomis and Keegan were always meant to be and you'll cheer for their little family. 10/10. No notes.
Content notes: surprise child, mentions of child abandonment, death (cancer)

This was the first book I’ve read of her Boston Billionaires series. It was such an easy, enjoyable read. Great for a summer or beach read.

A swoony British movie star suddenly finding himself a father. A doctor-slash-secret-romance-author who helps him hide away on a private island. Loomis and Keegan have known each other for years but never crossed the line. Their fake relationship setup felt believable, and the added tension from Loomis trying to protect his son gave the whole story some nice emotional weight.
Keegan is a sweet, but not all that innocent woman who has her own stuff going on; her own dreams and insecurities. Loomis is a charming mess of sorts. He’s presented as a bad-boy, player type, but he didn’t come off sleazy. The story doesn’t reinvent anything, but it doesn’t need to. It’s heartfelt, low-drama, and steamy. Exactly the kind of romance you can breeze through on a summer weekend by the pool.
Perfect for fans of found family, single dad, fake dating, forced proximity, and HEAs.

I absolutely loved and devoured this book! I love me a fake relationship and with a hot movie star, yes please! The yearning and slow burn were soooo good 🔥🔥. And when the spice started it was so spicy. I loved this book and the storyline with it. Will definitely have to read more from this series and author!

I’m head over heels for Loomis and Keegan’s drama filled friends to lovers journey. Samantha Brentmoor and Will Watt did a brilliant job of bringing the characters and storyline to life. I’m a sucker for an accent and I was swooning hard. The Fritz family knows how to take on a scandal and this was one of my favorites. The chemistry was top tier and the interactions with friends and family was genuine and endearing. I seriously couldn’t get enough of these two. The epilogue even had me shedding a tear or two.

Undeniably Unexpected is precisely the kind of book I needed this summer! It's cute and cheeky but has all the angst and is oh-so steamy, and I couldn't get enough of it.
It's a friends to lovers, forced-proximity romance featuring Loomis, a new single dad and famous actor, and Keegan, a doctor that has to hang up her stethoscope after injuring her wrist and whom might be changing up her life plans all together. These two friends reconnect on the streets of Boston, but she's fresh off a breakup and he's dealing with his newfound dad status. When the paparazzi gets hold of some photos of them looking cozier than friends typically look, they make their way to the Florida Keys, and things between them go from platonic to something much more.
Saman's romances never disappoint, but Loomis and Keegan's story is absolute gold! From the very start of this book, I was hooked. Not only are Loomis and Keegan loveable on their own, but the chemistry and tension between them is palpable. And the spice! I mean...I just didn't expect Loomis to be so...so...HOT! I mean, yes, I know he's this handsome and charming actor with a past, but he certainly exceeded my expectations. I won't spoil things for you, so you'll just have to read the book to see what I'm talking about with him. Then there's Keegan, and she's not only so smart and cute but vulnerable and real feeling at the same time. I love her character so much! Add in Loomis' son and appearances from other characters in the series, and you wind up with a book that's sweet and fun but spicy, too.
The storytelling, characters, and plotline all culminated into this addictive romance that is the perfect thing to read as summer heats up. If you love contemporary romance, then you're going to love this one!

Thoughts: This book took me a little by surprise. I wasn’t sure I was going to like Loomis as a MMC and he ended up being a top notch book boyfriend. His character arc was great and he had a lot of emotional upheaval to deal with to get to where he ended up. I liked the development of his relationship with Keegan. From the mutual pining, to the fake dating, the friendship they shared, and their mutual love for Fenric. They were a fun couple to read and I didn’t feel like there was anything left unfinished about their HEA.
Move over…well, literally everyone else! Keegan and Loomis have claimed the top spot as my favorite couple from the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires series! I adored every single thing about them!!
Loomis Powell’s reputation as Hollywood’s bad boy mixed with Keegan Fritz’s good girl image from the Fritz clan was a match made in romance heaven. Her desire to help anyone in need was especially relatable to me. I would also have invited a smoking hot British celeb with me to a private island to protect him and his new son from the paparazzi. Keegan and Loomis’s time on the island made their little unit the cutest “fake” family. Every time Loomis talked to sweet Fenric or Keegan moved into momma bear mode, I melted!
The chemistry between Keegan and Loomis was EVERYTHING! Gah! I loved how freaking smitten he was with her! How fast he fell! His internal thoughts were simultaneously sweet and sexy and I just adored him! Together they were hot, hot hot!
I loved seeing Keegan’s double life as a medical resident and secret paranormal romance author unfold as she found what filled her soul and made her happy. I also really enjoy when the curvy girl gets the hottie and is comfortable in her own skin. Watching Loomis’s encouragement bolster her growth in this area of her life was so swoony!
This was narrated to perfection by Will Watt and Samantha Brentmoor .I can wholeheartedly say these narrators elevate an already fantastic story!

🎤 Dual narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Will Watt
Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Performance: 🎤🎤🎤🎤 🎤
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
👀POV: Dual, first person, present tense
📖 What to expect: Billionaire, Bad boy x good girl, Fake relationship, Single dad, Plus-Sized Doctor FMC, British Celebrity MMC, He falls first
J. Saman really know how to write swoony book boyfriends! This is the 6th book in the Boston Irresistible Billionaires series and can be read as a standalone.
We’ve got a bad boy celebrity who needs to clean up his image and billionaire heiress medical resident who needs to get her ex off her back, getting into a fake relationship. Let’s stick them on a secluded island and ignore the fact that they’re attracted to each other. Everything will be fine, right? 😂
I really enjoyed this book. It has so many of my favourite tropes. Loomis is such an amazing dad, especially considering how fatherhood was just sprung on him. The way he dotes on his son and always puts him first is so heartwarming. And Fenric is such an adorable kid. Together with Keegan, they make such a beautiful family, it’s impossible not to root for them. Keegan is a badass boss babe. Not only is she about to become and Ob-Gyn, she’s secretly a successful romance writer. I also loved that she’s a plus-sized girlie.
I love the emotional depth and character growth in this story. They way they hold each other up and help each other overcome their insecurities. They got great chemistry and the spice was 🔥.
One of my favourite things about this series is the support system the characters have, both blood family and found family and I loved how easily they welcomed Loomis and Fenric into the family. I also enjoyed the mystery/workplace drama subplot.
The narration was phenomenal! I love when Samantha Brentmoor does dual narration because she has an amazing male voice, but I’ve never heard her do a British accent. Every time she voiced Loomis, I melted. I’m going to need more recs where she does a British accent. I also enjoyed her portrayal of Keegan as a strong, supportive, feisty woman. This is only my 2nd Will Watt audio and I’m going to be looking out for more of his work. I really enjoyed his performance. The highlights for me were his portrayal of vulnerable Loomis, and dirty-talking Loomis.
If you’re in the mood for a feel-good story with a swoony hero, emotional depth, steam, and loveable characters, definitely give this one a listen.
I received an advance copy from Valentine PR. These opinions are entirely my own.
