Uno tra i più belli che ho letto fino ad ora!! (Anche se dieci piccoli indiani detiene ancora il primato.)
Che dire, sicuramente continuerò a leggere anche altro.

3.5 really. Not my favorite Christie. A little too easy to figure out the major pieces, but a decent read nonetheless. I can't stop laughing over how much time she spent talking about Poirot's tight shoes!

This book accompanied me through my public transportation commute to my first workplace. Even after a long day, I could not put this one down. Christie excellently manages to provoke the reader to ping-pong between possible suspects for the murder. She will keep the reader one hundred percent certain that the murderer is Mr. --- on one page and cause an intense amount of doubt about that assessment in the next chapter. She writes wittingly and Hercule Poirot is a worthy detective for a Hallowe'en murder mystery. He uncovers the past of a handful of characters in order to solve this mystery and takes us through various possibilities as we try to unearth what exactly happened at the Hallowe'en party.

At a Halloween party, 13 year old Joyce announces that she has witnessed a murder. Upset when nobody at the party believes her, she storms off. Hours later, Joyce is found drowned in an apple-bobbing tub. Enter Hercule Poirot. And let the mystery solving begin!

This was my first Agatha Christie mystery. This was chosen as a little buddy read with some friends for our officially unofficial book club, and i love a good whodunnit so was really excited to get into this. With the murder happening at a Halloween party, it had a lot of fun elements that got me ready for Halloween! I enjoyed it as it got started, but as it continued I was a little underwhelmed. I found myself at a point where I just wanted to know who had done it already! I really do love this genre and have gotten other Agatha Christie recs, so I’m excited to see what else she has for me!

For myself, I would rate it 3.5/5, rounded up to 4!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A book that I loved, an absolute must read, and now a favorite of mine. It’s a book that will live on my shelves forever and I would re-read in the future. I would pick up anything else by this author without question. This book is now one of my all-time favorites,

If you are a fan of Agatha Christie you will love this book! As usual she does not disappoint and Hercule Poirot is as charming as ever.
