Definitely engaging. This is one of the last Poirot mysteries and it's interesting to see him in the late 60s!

I was set to give this book 4 stars until the ending. It was just an unsatisfying ending.

Another fun read from The Queen of Mystery, and prefect for this time of year. A bit less involved than the other two I have read by her but this was a great mystery nonetheless. I find I am starting to get a good feel for the way she writes mystery which allowed me to predict better what was bound to happen in the story. Or possibly this one just isn't as good as the other two (And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express). As always the writing is very reflective of its times and the ideals held then, so at times there will be insensitive opinions on race, gender and in this particular one, individuals with mental disabilities which was a bit off putting. Putting that aside though this was an enjoyable read, as has been everything I've read so far by Agatha Christie.

My first Agatha Christie novel! She now has one more fan for sure!

Definitely not the best Poirot novel out there. But I still have many of them to read.
