Meh. I'd heard this was not one of Christie's better books, and I tend to agree.
Besides them being accessories to murder, what was it with Ariadne's obsession with apples?! That's a pretty banal personal fact. You're a celebrated mystery authoress (as they called her) and the most notable trait you possess is your fondness for APPLES? Gah!
