I don’t even know how to review this book. Gordon Korman is one of the few authors that I simply cannot let down. I always get upset when his books end. This is one of my favorite books he’s made.

This was my first book that I ever read by Gordon Korman, and it will not be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the audio actors did a great job with it.

At first this book started out as a story that didn't appeal to me, but it ended with me loving the story and loving the characters so much. I think Korman is great at character development, and helping characters find their potential in life.

This story is about a class of unteachables, they are the delinquents, lost and hopeless to teach type of students. Mr. Kermit is the teacher who doesn't care about his class, doesn't grade papers and could care less about learning anyone's names. But we soon find out that teacher and the students really need each other, and learn to grow in the talents that they have and learn to shine and make friends they really didn't expect to have.

As a middle school English teacher, I often like to read books that my students recommend to me or books that I notice many of them read. This book was told from the perspective of the students and their teacher. I recommend this if you’re looking for a quick, moving story about the power of acceptance and the belief that every student should be given the chance to shine at something.

This book will forever be one of my favorites! Hilarious and heart-warming! We listened to the audiobook version and the narrators did an amazing job. Five stars from both me and my two kids!

This was a fun story about a group of misfit students taught by, well, a sort of misfit teacher. Serious redemption arc with a lot of humor.

This reinvigorated me as a teacher. A great reminder that we all have baggage we walk into a classroom with - students and teachers - but teaching can make a difference if it’s built on understanding and true relationship building. I will enter next year remembering that no kid is beyond help, and we all deserve empathy as human beings.
