Story wastes no time in getting straight to the first kill and subsequent gore all within the first chapter. Talk about hooking a reader in!
We not only follow the coroner as she discovers more about the deaths (having been the one to discover the first body) but we also follow the sister of the first victim and you can feel her pain and confusion at what has happened. Suspicions arise as possible suspects are questioned by the police force and anger arises as people point the blame at their neighbors. The tension only ramps up another victim is discovered and a third is taken. This story kept me hooked from the first chapter and did not let go until the final page. Truly an intense read and riveting first thriller.
