This feels like part 2 of the last book and while we do get some lore drops and new developments it didn’t grip me *quite* as much as the last 2 books. Look I’ve read 4 750+ page books within a fortnight so I am fully in until the end but STILL.

To begin with, I really felt like the book was mainly action with no real plot development. However, as it went on I grew to love it and oh my god it is so tense!! A real Easter egg was dropped at the end with Loren needing

black magic in order to be complete

and I’m excited to see where that goes. Overall, I really enjoyed it a lot but because not much happened with feel like we missed good opportunity for actual plot development rather than just following the aftermath of Yveswitch.
