In book four of the House of Devils series, the stakes have never been higher.
This book is solely focused on survival.
The characters are going *through* it, both physically and emotionally as we see them struggling find their way back to their family, their friends, their loved ones and some sense of peace .

The best way to describe this book is how everyone feels in the last 100 pages of almost all fantasy books - It's how you feel all throughout this one. There is not a moment of rest. There is not a single breathing space. Everything feels dangerous and final. There were so many moments where I asked myself, how are they going to get out of this? Will they get out of this?

I think it's quite rare to find a series where there are multiple POVs and they are all equally interesting. I never found myself wanting to skip anyone's point POV -I was invested in all of them and all of the characters. I actually wish we even had more POVs because all the characters in this series are just amazing - they truly are the heart and soul of the books, and the relationships between them (romantic, friendship, family) are just so well done! I love how we get to see and explore the dynamics between the different couples, different siblings and the different houses!

I just wish we had had some answers regarding plot points that have been ongoing since book one but I think this really sets up everything for the next book, which I'm already dying to to read.
I know it's gonna be absolutely mind-blowing!

I can't wait to see how everything will unravel in the next book, specially after that ending!

(PS there has never been a character I hated as much as I hate Donovan Slade!!)

Would have liked more action/heist and less of Loren and Darien fighting about an issue from the prior book 🙃
